2. Attach the desired grease-dispensing nozzle or fitting to the end of the gun's hose or spout.
3. Position the nozzle or fitting onto the lubrication point of the equipment or machinery you want to lubricate.
4. Firmly hold the grease gun's handle with both hands, with one hand on the lever or trigger and the other hand supporting the base of the gun.
5. Apply steady pressure on the lever or trigger to activate the piston or plunger mechanism. This action forces the grease from the reservoir through the hose or spout and into the lubrication point.
6. Continue applying the grease until the lubrication point is adequately lubricated, or until the grease starts to come out from the equipment's relief vents.
7. Release the pressure on the lever or trigger to stop the flow of grease.
8. Remove the grease-dispensing nozzle or fitting from the lubrication point.
9. Wipe off any excess grease or spills from the equipment and the grease gun.
